Yahoo! anticipates the closing of Delicious

During the next months, Yahoo! has contemplated to close the popular service of interchange of links and management of social markers in Web. The closing of the site comprises of the plan of reduction of costs that contemplates to the elimination of some of its services in Internet and the dismissal of 600 employees. Until the moment, the company has decided to undo of the little profitable services to concentrate in other areas that can attract major traffic. The interchange site was bought by Yahoo! in 2005 by a unknown sum of money, when the company of Internet tried to construct a social center. Delicious allows to add the markers that classically kept in the navigators and to categorise them with a labelling system.
