Sony Ericsson announces its first Android Walkman phone, the W8

Sony Ericsson finishes announcing its first telephone of the Walkman series that runs Android. Reason why it is seen, the W8 is rather a species of XPERIA X8 modified with some showy colors and a logo of Walkman. Like its brother, the X8, Sony Ericsson W8 has a capacitive screen of 3 inches with resolution of 320×480 pixels, entrance for headsets of 3,5 mm and camera of 3,2 MP. On the inside MHz has a processor of a nucleus running to 600, with 168MB of ram. The W8 uses Android 2,1, thing that is unfortunate since the majority of androids at the moment runs Froyo or Gingerbread. Nevertheless, this the operating system of Google is the first Walkman moving body running and also it will use the user interface Timescape. Being a Walkman, the telephone will come with earpiece MH140 including from factory.

So far it is known that the W8 will be available in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, beginning to distribute itself in this second trimester of 2011 in blue, red color and orange. The price still is not known. We hope that Sony Ericsson not only leaves east model (or a similar model) in the regions before mentioned, apart from which it works in creating something totally different from the proposed thing with XPERIA for the Walkman family, without leaving of side to Android.
